Reliable overflow support for solo practitioners and small law firms — demand letters, discovery, motions, research, and case support, delivered fast and reviewed by you before it ever leaves your desk.
Who I am
I’m Ryan Thompson, a law graduate (LLB, 2:1) with hands-on experience drafting and supporting real litigation matters — including multi-count arbitration complaints, demand letters, and legal research under attorney supervision.
I founded Thompson Legal Support Services to give solo practitioners and small firms a dependable extra set of hands for the drafting and research work that eats up time you’d rather spend on strategy and clients. Every piece of work is delivered as a draft for your review and sign-off — you stay fully in control of what goes out under your name.

Ongoing Support
Prefer predictable overflow support instead of one-off projects? Choose a monthly package and get priority turnaround on everything you send over.
$600/month (£448)
For solo practitioners who need occasional overflow support without the commitment of a full retainer.
$1,100/month (£822)
For firms with a steady flow of drafting and research needs who want priority handling.
$2,000/month (£1,494)
For firms with high-volume overflow needs across multiple matters at once.
The Advantage
A part-time paralegal typically costs $2,200-$3,000+ (£1,645-£2,245) a month in wages alone, before payroll taxes, benefits, or training. A full-time paralegal runs even higher — $82,000-$95,000+ a year in fully-loaded employment costs, or roughly $6,800-$7,900 (£5,075-£5,895) a month once benefits, payroll taxes, and overhead are factored in. With Thompson Legal Support Services, the Volume retainer delivers ongoing drafting support for $2,000/month (£1,494) — with no employment risk, no idle cost during quiet weeks, and no commitment beyond a month at a time.
Most documents delivered within days, not weeks.
Strict data handling practices for every client file, with confidentiality built into every engagement.
Background in AAA arbitration complaints, demand letters, and legal research, not just theory.
Every project includes revisions to make sure the final document matches exactly what you need — no extra charge for reasonable adjustments within the original scope.

Questions
I hold an LLB (2:1) from Birmingham City University and have hands-on experience drafting real litigation documents — including multi-count AAA arbitration complaints and settlement demand letters — under attorney supervision. I’m not a licensed attorney, and all work product is delivered as a draft for your review, revision, and final sign-off before it goes anywhere near a filing or a client.
Every engagement is treated as confidential. Case files and client information are handled under strict data-handling practices, and I’m happy to sign an NDA before any materials are shared if your firm requires one.
Most documents are delivered within a few business days, depending on complexity and scope. If you have a tight deadline, let me know upfront — I’ll confirm whether I can meet it before you commit to the project.
Yes — I verify citations against primary sources and adapt formatting to your jurisdiction’s requirements. If your matter has unusual local rules, flag them when you send instructions and I’ll confirm I can accommodate them.
Every project includes revisions within the original scope at no extra charge, so the final document matches exactly what you need.
My focus is solo practitioners and small firms (2-3 attorneys) who need reliable overflow support without the cost of a part-time hire. If you’re unsure whether your firm’s needs are a fit, just get in touch and ask.
